3. Best Practices for Screening 

• Verify References: If you provided references, I will reach out to them before confirming the appointment. I will email them (using the contact info provided & cross referencing ). If references don’t check out (or I can’t reach them), you’ll need to provide alternative verification like work info or ID. 

• Cross-Check Identity and Employment: If you provide employment info:

  • Look up the company website and try to find a staff directory or your name listed.

  • LinkedIn vetting: Profile must have a photo, multiple connections, and an endorsement, lastly recent activity.

  • Verify a company’s legitimacy via Dun & Bradstreet 

• Background Checks and Screening Databases: VerifyHim and SafeOffice

• Compile information including address history, arrest records, online footprints ( reviews on forums), and any blacklist alerts from other providers (Platforms which Discriminate Against Sex Workers – #SurvivorsAgainstSESTA) (Platforms which Discriminate Against Sex Workers – #SurvivorsAgainstSESTA).

  • Check for name or number appearing in any blacklist databases 

  • Intuition and Red Flags: While hard data is important, I don’t ignore my gut instincts. I look for client's who do not follow my screening process or constantly try to circumvent the criteria. Disrespecting your screening requirement indicates you may disrespect my boundaries elsewhere too.

  • Consistency check: Confirm all the pieces of information line up. ​​
